About PDFLocal

PDFLocal is a small, independent project. The goal is narrow: build the PDF utilities people actually need, make them work without an account, and never make users choose between privacy and a usable free tier.

The site is deliberately built as static pages with client-side processing. There is no sign-up, no email capture, no tracking beyond aggregate page statistics, and no retention of anything you process. Running the whole toolset costs almost nothing, which is why there is no paywall.

Support comes from advertising. If a tool saved you a subscription, that is the intended outcome.

Missing a tool you need? The roadmap includes PDF compression, form filling and flattening, and page reordering with visual thumbnails.
